Join us for Cloud Business Model Transformation Jump Start

You heard about it at WPC, you’ve been reading about it everywhere, you’re peers, customers and competitors are talking about it, evaluating it, adopting it, and selling it, so what are you doing with cloud in your business as a Microsoft partner and how are you making the transition? To help you in this process, we are offering a 1-day Jump Start class specially tailored for decision makers and line of business practice leads in partner organizations looking to evolve their businesses into cloud business called, “Cloud Business Model Transformation Jump Start.”

The upcoming Cloud Business Model Transformation Jump Start class will be an online session, which means partners from everywhere are able to attend, regardless of where they are located, and will be presented by Julie Bennani, General Manager Microsoft Partner Network. Here are the details of the session:

Dates: August 31, 2011
Time: 8:00am – 4:00pm PST
Duration: 8 hours, including hour lunch break
Audience: CxO-level decision-maker and line-of-business practice leads.

Course Description: The Cloud is the latest disruptive shift in an IT industry which is constantly changing. However, unlike past technology shifts which partners are accustomed to, the Cloud is a business model shift. Today most of the public cloud discussion focuses on the technology, and the customer benefits of the cloud. While both are important, partners are very interested in the underlying economics which tend to have a much stronger impact on the direction and speed of disruption to their businesses. The internet ad-funded business model is a classic example.

Microsoft recognizes the importance of the cloud economics discussion to our partners, and we are pleased to bring to the discussion lessons learned, and best practices behind successful partners in the cloud.

Learning Objectives: The Cloud Business Model Transformation Jump Start seminar will provide Partner Leaders with the structure to begin their individual Business Transformation Action plan. They will be able to isolate where they are well aligned, and prepared to incorporate Cloud Services, by identifying specific actions to take to close gaps in their current business model.

At the end of this session partner leaders will internalize:

  1. Why Business Transformation is a critical partner topic and the Partner’s business opportunity
  2. The MS cloud strategy/roadmap and how partners should think about integrating premise and cloud offerings.
  3. How to analyze business implications and drive practice decisions related to Business Model Transformation
  4. The new profit opportunities and considerations of Cloud based offerings
  5. How Cloud solutions impact Marketing and Sales Operations
  6. Long term growth: Managing the Customer Lifecycle and retention in a subscription-based business
