New UK SBSC Community manager & FY12 Partner Area Leads

For all of you partners in the U.K., here is some information that you should be aware of, if you haven’t seen it already. If you are a U.K based partner, odds are that you know Dell Quinn out of the Microsoft U.K. office and the work she has done with the community over the past few years. Well, if you haven’t heard yet, Dell has taken on an exciting new opportunity here at Microsoft and the person who now manages the SBSC community in the U.K. is Kerry Bentley. I have had the pleasure to meet with Kerry already and discuss the upcoming year and plans around the U.K. partners and the SBSC community and I am very excited about having Kerry in role and what she brings to this role for the Microsoft U.K. Team.

This morning, Kerry put up a blog post for the community to let partners know about this transition as well as her introduction and the introduction of the FY12 Partner Area Leads in the U.K. If you haven’t taken a look at is yet, please do as it includes her contact information as well for you, the SBSC partners in the U.K.

With the announcement of the U.K. PALs, I thought I would take a quick moment to congratulate: Guy Gregory, Richard Tubb, and Chris Timm on their appointments as the FY12 U.K. PALs. No doubt that most, if not all, of you are familiar with these three and the work they have done already, and I know that I am looking forward to working with them in this upcoming year in conjunction with Kerry.

So here are a few quick items that you might want to do if you haven’t had a chance to yet:

  • If you have had the chance to work with Dell while she was in role, reach out and be sure to congratulate her on her new role and drop a quick note of thanks for all she’s done for the community
  • Read through Kerry’s blog post she put up this morning and welcome her to the SBSC community and the new role in leading up this initiative for U.K. partners
  • Connect with Guy Gregory, Richard Tubb, and Chris Timm as the new FY12 Partner Area Leads to congratulate them and to tap into their thoughts on the upcoming year for U.K. SBSC partners
  • If you are attending Worldwide Partner Conference, you might want to utilize the WPC Connect tool and schedule a few meetings with several of these people to at least introduce yourself and start up a conversation on potential connections and opportunities in the upcoming year

By the way, for any of you that have the Microsoft Partner Info app already installed on your phones, you probably already knew this information since it was delivered right to you in the “U.K. Partner” section this morning (as you can see in the screenshots below from a few Windows Phones).
