Microsoft Acquires Skype–Watch the Live Press Conference

imageThis morning, Microsoft confirmed the acquisition of Skype, the leading Internet communications company. This is a very exciting announcement when you start to think about the combination of the technologies that Microsoft and Skype bring together and the possibilities of what they may become together in the future! (It’s been fun already this morning watching the chatter on Twitter and other online resources about ideas Smile ) One statement from this morning’s announcement that I really think really starts the imagination going about what may be coming is:

“Skype will support Microsoft devices like Xbox and Kinect, Windows Phone and a wide array of Windows devices, and Microsoft will connect Skype users with Lync, Outlook, Xbox Live and other communities.”

Skype +Xbox + Xbox Live + Kinect + Windows Phone + Lync + Outlook = So much digital goodness potential!
