The “Big Easy” Offer is back! But for a very limited time…

image Over the years, one of the very popular offers we’ve had in market from time to time is the “Big Easy” offer which allows you to not only receive a partner subsidy check from Microsoft when you acquire Microsoft technology solutions, but it also allows you to increase the amount you receive for each product by acquiring additional Microsoft technology during the qualified timeframe. Well, the Big Easy Offer is now back in market in the U.S.! So which products are included in the Big Easy Offer version 4.1? Take a look:

Microsoft® Office Microsoft® SQL Server®
Microsoft® Exchange Server Microsoft® Office Project
Microsoft® Office Communications Server Microsoft® Expression®
Microsoft® Office SharePoint® Server Microsoft® Visual Studio®
Microsoft® Forefront™ Microsoft® Office Visio®
Microsoft® Windows Server® Microsoft® System Center Essentials
Microsoft® Windows Server® 2008 Datacenter Microsoft® System Center Configuration Manager
Microsoft® Windows® Small Business Server Microsoft® Dynamics® CRM
Microsoft® Windows® Web Server 2008 Microsoft® Windows® Essential Business Server

So how do you increase the amount of partner subsidy you receive? Simple! You can increase your partner subsidy amounts by:

  • Acquiring products from more than one product group
  • Acquiring Licenses with Software Assurance
  • Acquiring Advanced or Enterprise Editions

Just like past versions of the Big Easy Offer, this one is for a limited time, and by “limited,” I do mean a really short time this time! The current Big Easy Offer 4.1 is available for purchases made between June 1, 2010 and July 2, 2010 and you need to redeem your purchase within 30 days of purchase date. After you do so, you will receive your partner subsidy check from Microsoft, made out to the Microsoft partner of your choice, that you can spend with your Microsoft partner upon receipt. Please note that subsidy funds expire after 90 days of the check issue date, so be sure to contact your Microsoft partner of choice as soon as you get your check.

Just as in the past, the Big Easy Offer 4.1 is available for purchases made through qualifying Microsoft Volume License programs. These qualifying licensing programs are: Open Value, Open Value Subscription, Open License, Open Value Government, Open Value Subscription Government, Open Local Government. Here are some links that you should check out for more on the Big Easy Offer 4.1:

Now one question you may be asking is, “Why do License + Software Assurance purchases made through Open License not qualify while License + Software Assurance purchases through Open Value do qualify?” Well, like I’ve said many times before, “Open License is not the program for Software Assurance.” If you are a Microsoft partner, be sure you are telling your clients about the Big Easy Offer 4.1 and how they can get the most from it. If you are a business owner, be sure you are having your Microsoft partner utilizing the Big Easy Offer 4.1 to get you your partner subsidy rebate that you can use for your technology needs.
