Join us in giving back – WPC Day of Giving, Sunday, July 12 in New Orleans
Here is your chance to join us by volunteering your time and inviting others to join you in making a difference in New Orleans – Sunday, July 12. This is the day just before the actual start of Worldwide Partner Conference in New Orleans and this year, we are kicking it off with the “WPC Day of Giving” where all participants can take part in one of two community outreach projects to give back to the great city of New Orleans. We have one activity that is indoors and one that is outdoors, so you get your choice of venues to participate in. Here are the details:
WPC09 DAY OF GIVING VOLUNTEER PROJECTS:
1) Wall of Hope at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center: Join teachers, students and local artists inside the convention center in painting pre-designed murals that will be combined into a “Wall of Hope.” The murals will be transported and installed at the George Washington Carver High School in the Upper 9th Ward of New Orleans. We are requesting a minimum commitment of 1 hour, but please feel free to participate as long as you want.

Time: 1:00pm-5:00pm
2) Offsite Rebuilding Activities - 9th Ward of New Orleans: Help support the New Orleans community through our rebuilding activities. Offsite activities will include painting, landscaping, sawing and hammering. One of the primary activities will include helping a local school (Arise Academy Charter at Charles Drew Elementary School) with a variety of classroom improvement projects, such as setting up their computer lab, and/or installing a wireless network. Transportation will be provided to the offsite location from the Ernst N. Morial Convention Center. Don’t forget to bring appropriate clothing and footwear.

- Option 1: 1pm-3pm (Bus pick-up from the Convention Center at 12:30pm)
- Option 2: 3pm-5pm (Bus pick-up from the Convention Center at 2:30pm)
