On May 4th from 8:00 – 9:00 am PST, we are going to be conducting a 300 Level webcast for Microsoft Partners about using Windows 7 Imaging, Deployment, Migration and VHD Boot Configuration Tool. Here is a brief overview of the event:
Windows 7 offers many enhancements to speed operating system adoption, whether coming from Windows XP or Windows Vista. In this demo-intensive session we will show the deployment tools for building and managing images (Imagex and Deployment Image Servicing and Management), migrating user files and settings quickly using hard-link migration (User State Migration Tool), combining all deployment tasks seamlessly with the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit. We will go through all steps for building bootable VHD images and make changes to the boot configuration database using BCDedit.exe to boot into the VHD image. This session is intended for technical audiences with some deployment experience and comfortable using Command Line tools.
These are 1 hour managed webcasts for Partners and Microsoft employees using Microsoft’s Live Meeting 2007.
