Upgrade to Windows Vista Business or Enterprise for $35*! That’s less than 10¢ per day!

$35* to upgrade to Windows Vista Business or Enterprise? Really? Yes, it’s true. Just like I talked about in my, “Microsoft Office Professional Plus for 25¢* per day? That’s only $7.50* per month!” post where I showed you how you could get Microsoft Office Professional Plus for just 25¢* per day, the new Microsoft Open Value Subscription program that launches next week makes this price of less than 10¢* per day to upgrade to Windows Vista Business or Enterprise a reality. NOTE: This price is for those with existing licenses of Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista Business through the Up-to-date discount offered through Open Value Subscription. If you do not own licenses for either of these programs but you do own one of the other qualifying licenses for the Windows Vista Business upgrade, you would be able to upgrade to Windows Vista Business or Enterprise for ~ 19¢* per day.

So why am I stating that you could upgrade to Windows Vista Business or Enterprise instead of telling you which one you get? Because remember that through Volume Licensing, one benefit you get through the Windows Vista Business upgrade with Software Assurance is the ability to not only upgrade to Windows Vista Business, but you also get the right to choose to install the Software Assurance only version of Windows Vista Enterprise if you choose to instead of Windows Vista Business. I have more on this in my, “Yes, a Windows Vista Edition only for Software Assurance customers…” post. Some other benefits of the Windows Vista Business Upgrade with Software Assurance through Volume Licensing are: Four (4) Virtual Operating System licenses included, Multilingual User Interface, Windows BitLocker™ Drive Encryption, and Subsystem for UNIX-Based Applications. These are benefits of the Software Assurance only version of Windows Vista Enterprise.

If you are a Microsoft Partner and want to learn more about the new Microsoft Open Value Subscription Program, be sure to check out one of my February 28th, “Partner Introduction to the New Open Value Subscription Program” Live Meeting session I am presenting before the launch next week.

Thank you and have a wonderful day,

* Note: Prices listed are Estimated Retail Prices (ERP). Resellers set final price, so contact your reseller for actual pricing. As noted above, Open Value Subscription is billed annually. 10¢ per day price is first year payment for qualifying upgrades. Annual price afterwards is ~19 ¢ per day ERP.
