Guide to associating MCPs to your organization

Many of you may recall the announcement earlier this year about SBSC Partners now being recognized at an area level. With this shift in recognition, SBSCs with multiple locations now have the ability to be listed and shown on a location by location basis on tools such as the SBSC Partner locator so Small Business customers can more easily locate your office in their areas.

One important component of making this happen though, is that each location must meet the requirements to be an SBSC Partner in order to qualify. This means that you must have someone who passed the online Sales & Marketing exam as well as someone who passed one of the technical exams as well associated with each location.

There have been questions I have received stating that a Partner has multiple people that passed these exams; however, one or more of their locations are not showing up as SBSC qualified. The reason for this is, the people with these certifications are all associated with one location or they are associated with other locations aside from the one in question. Remember that you need to associate your MCPs with the appropriate location in order for that location to receive the credit of having that certification. In order to help you out with doing this, we have posted the Guide to Managing Microsoft Certified Professionals online for you that explains how you can do this.

Thank you and have a wonderful day,
