Side-effects of being a System Builder

Now I know I have been told that sometimes I don't quite follow the beaten path... You know what they say, "Old habits die hard." Being a former system builder myself, I can say that habit remains the case. Quite often when someone sees my desk here at the office for the first time, generally one of the first questions out of their mouths is, "What's that?" The "that" they are referring to is usually whichever of my PCs they see first. Why?

Since I have been building PCs now for 10+ years, I like to customize the PCs I build a little so they don't quite just blend into the background. For some system builders out there, I am sure you know the feeling. For instance, the Vader & Viper boxes (named based on looks) on my desk now are not the typical PCs you see on every desk:

Vader Vader1 Vader2 Vader3
Viper Viper1 Viper2

I try to have some fun with the systems in my home too. Here are just a few samples:

DJ (Multimedia) DJ DJ2
Bubbles (Kid's PC) Bubbles Bubbles2
SBS Server SBSBox SBSBox2

So who says work can't be fun too? Just remember, if you are a System Builder, be sure you are using Microsoft Genuine Windows OEM Software which is available through Authorized OEM Distributors for the PCs you build.

Thank you and have a wonderful day,
