Get up to $1,000,000 from the BSA if you know someone running illegal software

Yes, you read all of those 0's right. On October 1st, the Business Software Alliance (BSA) announced that they are extending their $1 Million rewards incentive program for information leading to prosecutions and fines of organizations running illegal software. According to the BSA, "the success of the program has led BSA to extend the $1 million reward. 'Blow the Whistle,' a national advertising campaign that encourages employees to report software piracy, will also continue through the remainder of the year."

Some of you may recall prior posts regarding the BSA, their warnings, and their reward programs:

The BSA does provide a collection of Tools & Resources that can be very helpful in taking the first steps in keeping your organization, as well as your clients, legal for all of their software. Individuals can learn more about the BSA Rewards program or submit a confidential report by visiting www.bsa.org or calling (888) NO PIRACY.

Thank you and have a wonderful day,
