What is the difference between MS Gear Up and LicenseWise?

Recently there was an announcement in the Microsoft Partner Newsletter about the launch of the new LicenseWise License configurator tool by the Microsoft Worldwide Licensing Team. Since that announcement, I have seen several questions from U.S. Partners on how this tool compares to the MS Gear Up license configurator that we have available here in the U.S.  To help answer these questions, I am posting a comparison of the two tools that I received in addition to feedback from the US Licensing Team and Gear Up Team:
