WPC and Small Business Symposium, an opportunity to put faces with names.

Today the doors of the Denver Convention Center opened to welcome the attendees of this year’s Worldwide Partner Conference and Small Business Symposium for conference registration.

As you can see above, the Small Business Symposium banners and signs are up and awaiting tomorrow’s launch of the second annual Symposium. As always, one of the great benefits of these events is the opportunity to meet people you have emailed with, Blogged with, conducted Live Meetings with, and many other “virtual” interactions throughout the year. Today was no exception…

Just after checking into my hotel and finding out the room was not quite ready yet, I sat down in the lobby and opened my notebook. Minutes later, a couple sits down across from me and the gentleman states, “Looks like another Symposium attendee,” as he pointed to the WPC piece of paper the hotel handed me upon check in. He follows it up with, “Hi, Mark Crall.” Of course, I introduced myself as well. Once again, a face with a name. Mark and I have exchanged emails, he posts in my MSSMALLBIZ User Group, he’s attended my Live Meetings etc., yet we had never met face to face before. Now if he had only mentioned the “Less Than Coffee” cards post about the Symposium, he’d have received the Starbuck’s card I mentioned there. J

Anyway, I’m looking forward to meeting many of you face to face for the first time this week throughout the Symposium, at my session, or during Worldwide Partner Conference. Be sure to say, “Hi,” if you see me, as it is always great to put faces with names of those I interact with throughout the Community. Also, be sure to mention the “Less Than Coffee” cards post you saw on my Blog to get yours when we do meet.

Thank you and have a wonderful day,
