Microsoft increases Windows Genuine Advantage Program. Notifications to be sent to non-genuine desktops.
You’ve probably seen the increased number of legal actions being taken against people distributing illegitimate copies of Microsoft software and probably noticed the mention of Windows Genuine Advantage in many of those reports. Today, Microsoft announced the next wave in the Windows Genuine Advantage where many customers that have non-genuine versions of Microsoft Windows software will receive notifications directly on their desktops instead of only when they validate. Just another step Microsoft is taking to help protect our resellers and consumers of legitimate Microsoft software.
