Microsoft launches SBS + Office Services Promotion!
Starting today, customers who purchase an SBS 2003 Server License, (L) or (L+SA), or a minimum of (5) Microsoft Office Licenses, (L) or (L+SA), either separately or together through Microsoft's Open Business or Open Value Licensing programs are eligible to take advantage of this incredible offer! Qualifying purchases must be made between October 17, 2005 and March 31, 2006. So how much in IT Services $ are we talking about? Take a look:

SBS and Office Purchased Separately

For every Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 License (minimum of 5), or Small Business Platform SKU purchased without an SBS 2003 Server on the same order, customers can receive an IT Services subsidy worth:
- $50 per license purchased through the Open Business Licensing Program
- $100 per license purchased through the Open Value Licensing Program (Yes, that's DOUBLE the amount just for choosing Open Value instead of Open Business!!)
For every Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 License purchased without Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 on the same order, customers can receive:
- $50 per license purchased through the Open Business Licensing Program
- $100 per license purchased through the Open Value Licensing Program (Yes, that's DOUBLE the amount just for choosing Open Value instead of Open Business!!)
and if they add additional SBS CALs to the SBS Server (not including the 5 that come with it), they can also receive:
- $10 per SBS CAL purchased through the Open Business Licensing Program
- $20 per SBS CAL purchased through the Open Value Licensing Program (Yes, that's DOUBLE the amount just for choosing Open Value instead of Open Business!!)

Now what if the customer purchases SBS Server 2003 and Office Professional Edition 2003 (or Small Business Platform SKU) on the SAME order? That's when the BIGGEST subsidy dollars can be received! Let's take a look:
For every Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 License (minimum of 5), purchased with an SBS 2003 Server on the same order, customers can receive:
- $65 per license purchased through the Open Business Licensing Program
- $125 per license purchased through the Open Value Licensing Program (Yes, that's almost DOUBLE the amount just for choosing Open Value instead of Open Business!!)
For every Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 License purchased with Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 on the same order, customers can receive:
- $75 per license purchased through the Open Business Licensing Program
- $125 per license purchased through the Open Value Licensing Program (Yes, that's 67% MORE just for choosing Open Value instead of Open Business!!)
and if they add additional SBS CALs to the SBS Server (not including the 5 that come with it), they can also receive:
- $15 per SBS CAL purchased through the Open Business Licensing Program
- $30 per SBS CAL purchased through the Open Value Licensing Program (Yes, that's DOUBLE the amount just for choosing Open Value instead of Open Business!!)

What About The Small Business Platform SKU?

For this promotion, the Office Small Business Edition 2003 component of the Small Business Platform SKU will count just like the Microsoft Office Professional Edition does (Office Small Business Edition 2003 outside of the Small Business Platform SKU does not count for this Promotion). Since the Small Business Platform SKU contains both and Office 2003 license and an SBS CAL, both components are eligible to earn subsidy dollars. Here's how it works:
For each Small Business Platform SKU (minimum of 5) purchased without an SBS Server 2003, the customer will be eligible for: $120 per Small Business Platform SKU ($100 for the Office Small Business Edition 2003 component and $20 for the SBS 2003 CAL component)
For each Small Business Platform SKU (minimum of 5) purchased with an SBS Server 2003, the customer will be eligible for: $155 per Small Business Platform SKU ($125 for the Office Small Business Edition 2003 component and $30 for the SBS 2003 CAL component)
Do the math and you can quickly see how the Small Business Platform SKU can REALLY add up the savings for Small Businesses:
Say a Small Business with only (5) PCs decided to move to SBS 2003. By placing an order for (1) SBS 2003 Server and (5) Small Business Platform SKUs through Open Value, not only would they receive the additional savings and benefits that the Small Business Platform SKU includes, they would also be eligible to receive a subsidy check worth $900! (5 X $155 = $775. $775 + $125 = $900)
What if your customer had (10) PCs? By placing an order for (1) SBS 2003 Server and (10) Small Business Platform SKUs through Open Value, not only would they receive the additional savings and benefits that the Small Business Platform SKU includes, they would also be eligible to receive a subsidy check worth $1,675! (10 X $155 = $1,550. $1,550 + $125 = $1,675)
