Microsoft Arabia Jointly Launch Windows 8 Apps Development Competition with Tech-World Site!

This is a skill-based Contest jointly launched with Tech-world community https://www.tech-wd.com. The objective of this Contest is to develop Windows 8 and / or windows phone Applications and submit them to the windows 8 store or windows phone store

To be eligible for judging, an entry must meet the following content/technical requirements:

  • Applications must be submitted from a Saudi Developer account.
  • The app has to be unique and not used in any similar competitions.
  • The developer can participate with more than one entry, every entry will be evaluated separately, so the more apps you submit to the stores it will get you the higher chance to win.  
  • Incomplete or illegal entries will be disqualified.
  • The developers have the choice to build Windows 8 apps or Windows Phone Apps or both.
  • Every apps will be evaluated separately via the following criteria judged by a panel of judges from Microsoft Arabia and Tech-World (Saud Alhawawi):
    • Functionality.
    • Usefulness.
    • Impact.
    • Local relevance.
  • The competition will run from Jan 1st, 2013 until March 20th, 2013.
  • The app should be published to the Windows Store or Windows Phone Store in order to be qualified as an entry.

Once the application has been published to the Windows 8 or Windows Phone Store, send an email to Tech-World-MS@microsoft.com with a link to your application in the store .   

At the end of the contest, one winner will be announced, the winner who earned higher number of points will be selected, and the prize is a Samsung Ativ Smart PC running Windows 8.
