Cybernetic Transport Systems

Europe is well into the development of new transportation systems that are based on small automated vehicles that could be utilized by either people or freight delivery in cities. These “cyber cars” would offer on-demand door-to door service.

 

Participating in this European effort is Robotsoft, a member of the Microsoft Robotics Studio Partner Program (MSRSPP). For this initiative Robosoft has developed several platforms robuCAB4, CyCab, and robuCab22 that are based on robuBOX, a set of software technologies based on Microsoft Robotics Studio.

 

ROBOSOFT already demonstrated GPS-based navigation algorithms in Anglet (France), allowing autonomous guidance of Cybercars without any infrastructure. (video here)
