Preview of iRobot® Create™ service for Microsoft Robotics Studio (1.0)

Microsoft Robotics Group has released a preview of a service for controlling an iRobot Create programmable robot as well as a Roomba® robot using Microsoft Robotics Studio (1.0). The service connects to a Create or a Roomba robot over Bluetooth and exposes the iRobot Open Interface through the Microsoft Robotics Studio service model. This allows you to drive the robot around, read its sensors, and interact with it using all the existing features already present in Microsoft Robotics Studio (1.0).

The service is a sample which means that it is available in source code as C# and can be used and modified following the license agreement for the Microsoft Robotics Studio (1.0) samples. The preview is in the form of a self-extracting zip file that unzips on top of an existing Microsoft Robotics Studio (1.0) installation. Please download the preview from the Microsoft Robotics Studio (1.0) download center, try it out, and provide feedback by joining the Microsoft Robotics Studio community through our Newsgroup (also available as NNTP feed through Usenet)!

Thanks,

Henrik
