'Lecturer-only giveaway' - free 2 day Microsoft Expression training course for lecturers / teachers

For those of you who haven't heard, Expression Studio is Microsoft's new web design tool offering.

If you are a web design / multimedia lecturer (or similar), I have acquired 10 certificates for a 2 day Expression Studio training course to give away for free. The certificates come with no strings attached, and represent a good opportunity to learn about the Microsoft's new web tools, a little bit about Silverlight development and to learn about an alternative to the current design tools you might be using. (I should point out that Expression Studio is now available in your MSDNAA subscription so if you want to download it for free and have a play beforehand, you can. If your school doesn't have an MSDNAA subscription, you can download a 90 day trial from here)

The training is run by 2 different companies - Alpha Computing and New Horizons. It is normally worth $1000 per person, but we have purchased free certificates for 5 lecturers in each city to come and take part in the training. In Sydney, the event will take place on the 10th and 11th of December. In Melbourne, the training will take place on 23th & 14th December (venues are yet to be advised).

As mentioned, these sessions are offered for free and have no strings attached, but if your university is interested in being the first university in Australia to begin teaching Silverlight, this training in the Expression tool suite will be a big help.

If you or one of your colleagues are interested, please drop me a line here. Many thanks to Shane Morris and Anna Liu for making these sessions happen for Australian lecturers.
