With all the excitement surrounding the launch of Internet Explorer 9, don't forget to that developers have an opportunity to enter the Dev Unplugged Contest! This IE9 competition allows developers to submit amazing web applications and games using HTML5 – a world without plug-ins!
Competition is divided into two main categories- Best Video Game and Best Music Experiment.
What do you win? Grand Prize winner is featured on the front page of the Beauty of the Web, Gaming and Music winners will be featured in the Experience section of the site, while Best Use of Site Mode will be featured on the IE Gallery. In addition, developers will have access to awesome licensed content Play with exclusive content that we’ve licensed for your use:
· In Gaming: Hellboy
· In Music: songs by AWOLNATION and Ra Ra Riot
Prizes include cash, a fully-loaded trip to Las Vegas and amazing hardware!! There will be a total of 9 featured prizes and 9 honorable mentions. The top prizes are:
· Grand Prize: $9,000 USD and a fully-loaded VIP package to the Future of Web Apps (FOWA) in Las Vegas
· Game Winner & Music Winners: $5,000 USD
To help us judge your submissions, you can expect a luminary panel of judges from the world of music, gaming and the web. We have assembled an amazing panel of judges that feature experts in HTML5, Design/UX and the gaming and music industries, including the likes of: Dion Almaer, Remy Sharp, Grant Skinner, Rob Ford and Elijah Manor. The panel will be asked to judge the top-40 finalists according to creativity, quality of implementation and fit with the contest theme.
