Microsoft Webcasts team hits the bike trail to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis

Warning – This is a shameless request for fundraising for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Our very own Jennifer Walts, from our Microsoft Webcasts team, has hit the bike trail to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis. As many of you know, Multiple Sclerosis is thought to be an autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system. Over 400,000 Americans have Multiple Sclerosis, and well over 2 million people have Multiple Sclerosis world wide. Through fundraising through bike rides, and personal donations, there is a lot we can better understand Multiple Sclerosis, and improve the health and welfare of those with Multiple Sclerosis.

Many of you may have met Jennifer Walts if you were at TechEd 2004 and or TechEd 2005. Jennifer, along with the rest of the Microsoft Webcasts team is always there to get feedback from customers, answer questions on our webcasts, get ideas on what to we can do better, and hear about the kind of content you guys are looking for in our webcasts.

I’ve done the MS 150 a few times on the Houston to Austin MS 150 tour, and I have to tell you that this is a very positive way improve our community and the lives of those around us. It’s also a great personal challenge for those who ride the entire 150 miles. Jennifer is looking for folks to sponsor her on this bike ride or even just offer your personal words of support and encouragement. You can make a pledge online very easily. I’ve already made one. FYI – Microsoft will match pledges of $25 dollars or more you make on the behalf of Jennifer Walts. Please visit her personal page to make a pledge or to leave a few words of encouragement for our very own Jennifer Walts.
