Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2

We recently became aware that the final build of Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 that was provided to you via MSDN Subscriber Downloads contained some inconsistencies in the product.

As Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 has only just released from Microsoft and is not yet generally available, the scope of this concern for our partners and customers is very limited.  Because of this, Microsoft has elected to recall the limited Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 production to date, and plans to re-release Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 again in the near future.

Microsoft has notified our Partners, OEMs, and other stakeholders (including MSDN Subscriber Downloads), and expects a minor delay in the general availability timeline offered at the recent Worldwide Partner Conference (WWPC).

In our efforts to provide this content to our subscribers as soon as possible after release, we regret any inconvenience that this issue may have caused.  We place our subscribers first, and while a short delay in the availability of Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 is unfortunate, we look to provide the re-released content to you again in the near future.

Best regards,

Seth Adams
