Windows Phone 7 Reaches Technical Preview Stage

Windows Phone 7 development continues at a fast pace. Last week saw the release of the Developer Tools beta, and yesterday came the announcement of the first technical preview. As Terry Myerson blogged, the technical preview means that Microsoft has “signed off that our software is now ready for the hands-on everyday use of a broad set of consumers around the world”.

So, if you’re a Windows developer, or a developer who works exclusively on mobile platforms, you’ll now have everything you need to start building Windows Phone 7 apps. “Starting today, thousands of prototype phones from Asus, LG and Samsung are making their way into the hands of developers over the next few weeks,” Myerson writes. I can’t wait to see what y’all come up with!
