Active sync your iPhone...

Since the launch of iPhone, the rumor mills have been grinding hard about Apple licensing Exchange Active Sync protocol and here's the final say, Yes! this news makes Apple's iPhone sweeter than before :) I am almost ready to take a bite...hmm! Tempting!

With Exchange support, the iPhone is no longer the forbidden fruit! Although, the $500 price tag still is... :)

Apple is licensing Exchange ActiveSync licensing protocol for the iPhone. This licensing agreement will enable people using the Apple iPhone to connect to Microsoft Exchange Server secure wireless messaging and synchronization. With this landmark deal, Apple joins a growing ecosystem of industry partners adopting Exchange ActiveSync — including Big Bang Systems, DataViz, Helio, Motorola, Nokia, Palm, Remoba, Sony Ericsson, and Symbian.

This is a very significant deal in the Unified Communication sector. Apple and Microsoft together will be very powerful in delivering un-paralleled User Experiences. What this means to the end user is a product with beauty and brains!
