Repairing package load failures in Visual Web Developer

Some people are getting strange package load errors, most popular in Visual Web Developer is 'Failed to load Trident Designer Package'. Most probable issue is that at some point machine had earlier versions of the Visual Studio (like CTP or Beta 2) installed and not all components were fully uninstalled.
