IIS Express Announced

ScottGu has blogged about a new version of IIS, IIS Express that’s intended to deliver a mix of the ease of use of the ASP.NET Development Server and full-blown IIS. It’s lightweight, integrates nicely with VS, doesn’t require elevation, enables a full feature set and can be quickly launched to run a site from a folder on your machine. All in all it sounds just splendid. Expect to see a beta release shortly.
