Artinsoft’s Aggiorno’s IE8 Readiness Features

There are a couple of nice IE8 specific features in Artinsoft’s markup productivity and maintenance tool Aggiorno:

  • Create a web slice
  • Insert / Remove the IE8 Compatibility tag

The former provides some template code to make it easy to create a web slice while the latter allows you to identify a document or folder and apply or remove a specific IE8 Meta Tag. While you’re more likely to set the HTTP header if you want a whole site to be affected, this seems like a good way to manage broad changes or exceptions for your site.

Worth a look at least.
