Nearly time for launch

Yes, launch is almost upon us - Visual Studio 2008, Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 are all getting together to have a big party in Birmingham on 19th March and you're invited (if you're quick).

Details and registration link are here. (the agenda link is in the middle under the tabs cunningly coloured light grey so you can hardly see it :-))

As you might expect I'm doing the web session "Building Web Applications with Visual Studio 2008":

"In this session we will explore what’s new for web developers in Visual Studio 2008. Demos will include the new HTML designer, CSS enhancements, improvements when working with scripting and the three new ASP.NET 3.5 data controls. We may even throw a bit of AJAX in there, just for fun!"

But hey, if that's not enough for you, we also have:

  • Visual Studio 2008 IDE, C#/VB
  • Language Integrated Query (LINQ) in Visual Studio 2008
  • Building Web Applications with Visual Studio 2008
  • Building Smart Client Applications with Visual Studio 2008
  • Office as a development platform with Visual Studio 2008
  • Windows Mobile development with Visual Studio 2008
  • Windows Server for Developers

Look forward to seeing you there!
