Slides and Demos from ScottGu's Mix:UK Sessions

Scott's posted the slides and demos and a note to say you're free to re-use these wholesale. It was a great session yesterday mainly as a result of the questions asked and Scott's ability to change tack and cover those things off as part of the demo. I'm afraid I didn't see his Silverlight session but I imagine it was much of the same goodness. The "Nice Cup of Tea and a Sit Down" session on the developer community track was also great. Nice breadth of questions from the assembled tea-drinkers and a good level of involvement from everyone on the panel. Nice job Phil et al for making this work so well.

Also yesterday was Michael Foord's Silverlight and IronPython session which I enjoyed tremendously. I know little about Python so learned a lot along the way but what impressed me most was the lengths Michael had gone to in building demos to illustrate different scenarios. He didn't have time to cover them all off but you could see what a comprehensive job he'd done in building the session. I think you were maybe playing to the wrong crowd with your static typing jokes though Michael :-) (I did think the Far Side cartoon was funny but it was a little on the small side so by the time I'd figured it out we'd moved on - story of my life really).

Simon Peyton Jones contribution to the "Sneak Peeks" session was both engaging and hilarious.
