TechEd Australia Embedded Keynote (via LiveMeeting)

Today, Monday September 1st is Embedded day at TechEd Australia - a couple of months ago, Don Kerr, the Embedded guy in Sydney asked me to present the opening session at the Embedded day - The session is 30 minutes, followed by Q&A. It doesn't seem right to fly 15+ hours to Australia for a 30 minute presentation, so we decided to use LiveMeeting and Microsoft RoundTable for the keynote - the session kicks off at 4pm Redmond time, so there's about an hour before we get started.

Here's a screen shot of LiveMeeting running on my laptop, showing the remote panorama view from a Microsoft Roundtable device at the TechEd Conference, and a view (top left) of Don Kerr during last nights rehearsal.

The rehearsal went really well - given how well this technology works I'm surprised that more companies don't use this to have remote meetings rather than wasting travel time and expenses.
