WE-DIG Meeting, July 5th – Managed Code and XNA

Date: Wednesday July 5, 2006

Time: 6:30 - 9:00pm

At: Bldg 117, Chinook, Microsoft Campus, Redmond, WA

===== Theme: Update on Managed Code =====

This past spring, Microsoft announced XNA - a managed code framework for game developers that runs on *multiple* platforms, including XBox-360, Windows Mobile, and Windows XP. Chris Muench, WE-DIG board member and long-time game developer will share his insights into XNA. If we are lucky, he will even demo some of his amazingly graphical games (and yes, those 3-D effects are being handled in managed code!).

The Compact Framework Team has released a new service pack for .NET CF 2.0. We have invited a member of the team to join us for an insider's look at what is new in the new service pack, and what the future may hold for the .NET Compact Framework.

Hopefully see you there!

- Mike
