Yesterday morning at 6am Loke and I arrived in Tokyo from Sydney/Australia – we headed for the hotel and then to the conference center to meet with translators, and have session and keynote rehearsals – we were back at the hotel at 9pm.
This morning (Wednesday May 31st) we were back at the conference center by 8am to setup and test the keynote hardware – my day was a blur of activity, keynote, press meetings, breakout sessions, more press meetings – we got finished around 7:30pm this evening, back to the hotel, a quick change into casual gear and then a walk into the local shopping area to find somewhere to eat – back at the hotel by 10:30pm.
Tomorrow morning at 8am we leave the hotel in Tokyo to head to the airport – we have a 12 hour flight to London followed by a 3 hour flight to Nice/France – we should be at the hotel by 1am on Friday 2nd June. We (thankfully) have a couple of “down days” to catch up on e-mail, work on sessions/demos for MEDC Europe and hopefully get a look around the town of Nice.
Next stop, France…
