Windows CE 5.0 – Headless Tutorial Posted.

I was planning on recording the headless device tutorial during the Christmas break, but had a few spare minutes at the end of the day on Monday, so pulled this together before leaving the office – I think you can see my desktop clock in the video.

I needed to edit the video to remove a couple of Messenger popups [I usually shut down Messenger and Comminicator] and the transition from slides to Platform Builder (Thankfully I had the Pete Grondal edit the video, I tried editing in Adobe Premiere but couldn’t figure out how to get that to work, my video always came out black – not the most intuitive of applications).

So, here’s a link to the video (34MB wmv) – Based on comments from the previous post I will record another video that adds Telnet support for the headless device – expect to see that in the new year.

  1. Hey Mike — Microsoft agrees that Adobe Premiere is a bit tricky to use. You should take a look at Microsoft’s Digital Image Suite Plus which includes the Pinnacle Studio software.

It’s SO much easier to use (especially for "us" average consumers)

  2. Mike – great demo, thanks for sharing. How about a followup showing how to add a .NET CF 2.0 application to the headless design ?
