PHP running on Windows CE ?

Isn’t it strange how a question can come in from different sources one straight after another… (much like the number 24 bus not appearing for hours [especially when it’s cold and raining!], and then three busses all turn up at the same time).

Todays “#24 bus” question is “Does PHP run on Windows CE” – I’m not aware of anyone having ported PHP over to Windows CE, but have seen someone thinking about starting the project – seems like this might be an interesting project.

Let me know if you are working on such a project, or start working on this project – I’d be very interested in tracking this.

    Hi Mike —

Porting the Zend/PHP engine to WinCE proved very daunting (tried twice!), so instead I created my own PHP-compatible processor — PocketHPH. It initially supports a useful subset of core PHP functions (string, array, file io, etc.) and includes a mini webserver. The demo is available at
