How very timely, in the news today is BillG giving a presentation in Japan where he mentions that the xbox 360 software may be licensed to 3rd parties to build multimedia and consumer electronics devices.

It just so happens that I chatted with Major Nelson from the XBOX team today, we talked about the XBOX 360 hardware, software, games, backward compatibility and a bunch of other things - the interview has been sent to Major Nelson for approval, if everything is ok then this will go live tomorrow (Friday).
