==== Location-Based Programming ====
We are fortunate that Steve Lombardi, Microsoft's MapPoint Technical Evangelist, has agreed to join us. Steve is going to talk to us about the recently released MapPoint Location Server. He also promised to give us a preview of Caravel, a product that has not been discussed anywhere else in public. Caravel is Microsoft's next generation mapping and navigation application for Windows Mobile.

Developers interested in SPOT watches will want to hear from the two guests coming to the December WE-DIG meeting: Donald Thompson and Mark Phillips. Donald Thompson, a Microsoft architect, will provide insights into the SPOT system design and software implementation. Mark Philips of A Dot Corporation will be showing us his company's SPOT development kit.
