USGS – Earthquake news…

Mt St Helens has been pretty active over the last week or so, having over 200 mini-quakes in a 24 hour period, at times quakes are running at one or two per minute – I’ve been signed up to an e-mail alert for world-wide quakes for some time now (you can sign up on the USGS site), it’s actually surprising the number of quakes that happen per week – most of the Mt St Helens quakes are below 2.0, to get more information about world-wide quakes take a look at the USGS site.

  1. I like the live camera feed: http://www.fs.fed.us/gpnf/volcanocams/msh/

Hope you don’t live near there.

I hadn’t noticed the webcam – that’s cool, I might leave this running on one of my monitors "just in case" something interesting happens…

We’re about 150 miles north of Mt St Helens – reading the reports it doesn’t look like anything major is going to happen…
