Now here’s an interesting post to Blogs.msdn.com…

Anyone have a clue what this is about ? I see the obvious PocketPC, Exchange, etc… but what’s the message ?

This is interesting because it’s one of the strangest blog posts I’ve seen for a while.

It is just an ad saying that if you use Outlook E-card (some third-party add-in?) to send love letter/messages to your lover, friends or relatives, you will have chance to win some prizes such as pocket pc, celluar phone, etc.

Now there is a Chinese legend "The Cowherd and the Girl Weaver" involved if you want to know why the ad is posted today. The Cowherd is a mortal, whereas the Girl Weaver is a goddess. Somehow they fall in love. This breaks the law of the god, so the Queen of the god (kind like Hera) punishes them by seperating them with the Galaxy (they become two stars, Altair and Vega). However, the Magpies greatly sympathize with them in their misfortune and make a bridge for them to meet on the day of July 7th every year (Lunar year). Ever since then, July 7th becomes a traditional day for lovers to exchange love messages, very similar to the Valentine’s in Western tradition. I didn’t check the Calendar, but guesses it is July 7th in Lunar year today.
