We have chosen six teams from our Imagine Cup Online Finals contest who are now entering the World Semifinals!
These teams come from countries that didn’t host an Imagine Cup National Finals this year but through our Online Finals contest, they competed and they won.
Our winning countries are:
- Spain (two teams!)
And our winning teams:
Not a Cat by Team Binary Tales, Spain
This Windows 8.1 2D platforming game features Silk the Basilisk who gains access to a variety of powers while adventuring through the underworld to save his hometown.
SkyClaw by Team Catastrophe, Netherlands
Travel through extensive 3D worlds to rescue villagers, solve puzzles, and fight enemies. Rescued villagers return to your home where they can help on further adventures.
SlideWiper by Team SlideWiper, Estonia
SlideWiper empowers presenters to use PowerPoint with gestures and voice controls thanks to Kinect.
Flow by Team Flow, Israel
This plug-in for Microsoft Visual Studio lets programmers search for code snippets at sites like MSDN or Stack Overflow and insert them directly into their own code. Flow autodetects the language you’re working in, ranks snippets by relevancy, and easily expands to show the complete documentation accompanying the snippet.
World Citizenship Competition
ArCare by Team ArCare, Spain
Relief organizations working to support and manage refugee camps in the field face a challenging set of responsibilities. With ArCaRe, field workers can easily record and track data on refugee camp locations, facilities, supplies, and inhabitants.
LeapKin by Team LeapKin, Slovakia
Children with cerebral palsy require therapy to develop and improve their motor skills. With LeapKin, therapists can customize simple interactive games for these children based on their physical needs and development. LeapKin uses a combination of gesture-control technologies including Kinect and Leap Motion and provides results back to therapists for future sessions.
Our World Semifinals conclude at the end of this month and then we’ll choose the teams advancing to World Finals in Seattle this July. Stay tuned!
