Win with the Visual Studio Online Boost

For years, Microsoft's Visual Studio has been the world's premier development environment. This month Visual Studio takes a big step into the future with Visual Studio Online, which brings development, backlogs, and team collaboration tools right into the cloud.

At Imagine Cup, we know students around the world use Visual Studio for their projects. But we also know how often you can be on different devices in the course of your week. Maybe you've got a desktop PC in your dorm, various on-campus computer labs where you can drop in, a laptop for class, even a tablet or phone for when you're on the go.

Now with Visual Studio Online you can always be connected to your project and your team across campus, across browsers, and across devices.

To celebrate this month's release of Visual Studio Online, we have teamed up with the Visual Studio team to bring you the Visual Studio Boost. And we want to encourage every student to check out what Visual Studio Online can do for you!

Best of all: Visual Studio Online is free for teams of up to five people -- which means it's perfect for your Imagine Cup project.

In 2014, nine Imagine Cup student teams will each win $1,000 just for using Visual Studio Online in their project. Every winning team from every National Final and our Online Finals will be eligible. So if you want to get your project started off right, please follow these steps and see what coding in the cloud is all about:
