Author news: David Catuhe releases Kinect Toolbox 1.2
David Catuhe, who is writing Programming with the Kinect for Windows Software Development Kit for Microsoft Press (and which we’ll publish in September), has just released Kinect Toolbox 1.2 (1108K) via CodePlex. This is the sixth version of the toolkit David has released since July 2011. Here are more details from David’s blog.

This new release introduces the following new features:
New ContextTracker class to help detect unwanted gestures
New EyeTracker class to detect if the user is currently looking at the sensor
Tools to use Kinect as a mouse controller:
- MouseController to control the mouse
- Magnetic control to attract the mouse
- MouseImpostor control to replace the mouse cursor
New combined gesture detectors:
- Parallel gestures
- Serial gestures
New PresenceControl to give visual feedbacks to users
Improved GestureViewer sample
New KinectUI sample
