From the MVPs: Meet the “Paulovich Brothers”!

Here’s the seventh post in our series of guest posts by Microsoft Most Valued Professionals (MVPs). Since the early 1990s, Microsoft has recognized technology champions around the world with the MVP Award . MVPs freely share their deep knowledge, real-world experience, and impartial and objective feedback to help people enhance the way they use technology . Of more than 100 million users who participate in technology communities, around 4,000 are recognized as Microsoft MVPs.

With similar careers, we both have started working together in companies of  Belo Horizonte, a city near the center of Brazil. Today, however, we work in different companies, one with SharePoint/EPM and the other with Web Development and Mobile Solutions.

For several years, we have been actively participating in the Raptors User Group, where we hope that besides demonstrating we share a surname, we have also demonstrated a huge passion for Web Development, in particular ASP.NET, the category in which we have both received the MVP Award.

We grew up playing together and learning about the importance of teamwork. We are passionate about technology, and we found in contact with Microsoft communities an escape valve for our desire to share with other people everything we have learned together. This ease of sharing knowledge became a central point in our vocational training. And at all the companies we’ve worked during the last eight years, we have always been involving our co-workers in the community. We invite them to attend events, and in a few months almost of all them are lecturing in events or writing blogs with us.

We, the “Paulovich Brothers,” as we are known by the community and Microsoft, created the 100loop blog with friends and volunteers, where we write about various technologies and publish and distribute videos of the events that take place in our region. With the recent recognition as MVPs, our responsibility to the local community has increased, but we think that it will also be a great opportunity for networking that we still cannot even imagine.

Since the first day of the award, we have been discovering the benefits of being an MVP: following the discussion lists with the top experts of the world on firsthand issues is a fantastic experience of learning. We are enthusiasts of Microsoft technologies, and we are full of expectations about Windows 8, Windows Phone, and, of course, all the new features that will come with ASP.NET 4.5.
