New book: Microsoft Silverlight Edition: Programming Windows Phone 7

Greetings! If you follow our blog, you’ve probably already seen our free ebook titled Programming Windows Phone 7, by Charles Petzold. If not, you can find the 24-chapter ebook here. You can see the ebook’s full Table of Contents on that page, but here is its high-level organization:

In case you prefer reading an old-fashioned (classic?) book, we’re happy to announce that we’ve made Charles’s content available in hard copy.  We’ve created two print books out of the one ebook.  Each is for sale. The first is Microsoft Silverlight Edition: Programming Windows Phone 7, which contains Parts I & II from the ebook.

In other words, this book is the printed, Silverlight-focused edition of Programming Windows Phone 7, which is available as a free ebook from the Microsoft Download Center (via the link I gave at the beginning of this post). A Microsoft XNA-focused edition is also available for sale in print (ISBN 978-0-7356-5669-7).

So, it’s important to note that these two print titles offer no content beyond what’s offered in the free ebook.
