International Awards for Microsoft Press

The Society for Technical Communications (STC) is a professional association dedicated to advancing the art and science of technical communications. In January, three Microsoft Press books qualified for STC’s International Technical Publications competition, based on winning the highest honors at the local, chapter level.

I’m thrilled to announce two of our books won international recognition – making them truly world-class. A huge congratulations to our planners, editorial team, brand and design team, operations team, and authors!!

Judge’s comments:

Superb organization. Everything you’d expect is here. Great attention to detail.

The navigational aids allow the reader to use the book as a resource to find important information, not only through the table of contents, but also through a robust index. The server graphic topology is excellent.

This reference book holds a wealth of information, and disseminates the information in a pleasing informal tone.

Organizing 251 different tips into a single, cohesive book is a daunting task, but the authors and editors have done a good job. The table of contents and index are excellent, and the book is easy to browse through.

Cover art is high quality and very professional. The production quality is excellent.

What a fun book to read!
