Meet the O'Reilly Author Portal

Sara Peyton, pr manager at O'Reilly Media, here. I want to extend a hearty welcome to every Microsoft Press author. We're looking forward to working with you to promote your books. To that end, we invite you to join the O'Reilly Author Portal. 

We designed the author portal to help our authors promote their books and services, along with making it easy for them to get access to up-to-date and historical sales information about their books. 

Getting started is simple, and once you create your author portal account, you'll find an easy, self-serve interface. You can identify your areas of expertise and any services you offer, such as consulting or training--and update your author bio and photo. We can also help you start a blog or connect to your existing blog so your posts appear on your oreilly.com author page. We continuously update the portal with information about new social media tools. You can easily add links like Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Goodreads, etc., to your oreilly.com author page. That way your readers can find you online. And you can also review and confirm errata for your books.
