Presenting ‘Harmony’ – 3D WinFX Music Player

I came across Harmony yesterday, thanks to a kind e-mail some one sent us. After 5 minutes of using, I am hooked. This is a superb way to look at my music library – its like actually having the CD in my hand!

The creator admits this is similar to Coverflow for OSX, but again, Harmony is a great example of the combination of different media supported by WinFX.

The app requires an iTunes library.  When you get it going, it’s pretty sweet–arguably one of the best Windows Presentation Foundation examples out there.  Be sure to check out their other WPF <a href="">labs</a&gt;.

Damn this is sweet.  Check out thirteen23’s other WPF application examples as well: nostalgia, cine.view, and denounce.  All are impressive.

do you need iTunes to run this then?

It is a complete Media Player based on WPF.

  7. SZL says:

Pretty stupid. It requires both iTunes and Windows Media Player, so what’s the point?

Get coverJuke if you want a better program that does the same thing.

Does Thirteen23 offer Harmony as open source?

Dont think Thirteen23 do anything open source for the mo – they should, their stuff looks sweet!
