Mark Fussell's Biography

Mark is a Lead Program Manager at Microsoft working on distributed system technologies and manages the Web Services Enhancements (WSE) product which enables developers to build advanced, secure, service orientated applications. Mark also ensures that secure and interoperable web Services are achievable through the standards based, WS-* specifications. Previous to working on WSE, he was instrumental in the design of the XML APIs in .NET, remains a passionate advocate on XML technologies and the ability for cross platform integration.

Mark designed the XML APIs in version 1.0 release of System.Xml in the .NET Framework and worked on the design of version 2.0 until the end of 2004. In this role he also helped define the future direction of XML, data access in the .NET Framework and the XML support within SQL Server 2005.
