I’m happy to once again have the chance to talk about SSIS at Tech Ed North America. I’ll be presenting two sessions this time around – a Denali focused break-out session, and an interactive session about how to scale out SSIS, which I’ll be co-presenting with Joe Quint.
This session shows off the new features of Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services in SQL Server code-named “Denali”. Using customer scenarios, we demonstrate the migration process and highlight the benefits of the new SSIS server architecture. We cover the many improvements made to increase developer productivity, as well as the enhancements to the current configuration, deployment, and management experiences. If you’re wondering what’s in store for SSIS, you won’t want to miss this session!
In this session we show how to use Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) in conjunction with commodity hardware to build your own highly scalable environment that can beat the 2008 record-breaking data load using SSIS: 1 TB of data is less than 30 minutes! We take a look at some real-life customer scenarios, and see how they were able to use this framework to build elastic, highly available and scalable ETL solutions.
I’ll also be representing SSIS in the BI Power Hour. If you’ve never been to a Power Hour before, I highly recommend it. It’s always a TechEd/PASS Summit highlight for me – even when I’m not presenting!
Hope to see you there!
