FastSharp 2.0

I just released a new version of my FastSharp program.

Download it  or  View the source code

This release contains some notable enhancements:

  • Support for multiple languages
    • C#
    • Visual Basic
    • F#
  • Persistence of your current code language and snippet. This allows you to close FastSharp and start right back up from where you left off next time you run it.

  1. R. Ernst says:

Have you seen "LINQPad"  (  I thought you might want to know about it before you decide if you want to put effort into developing additional features to FastSharp.  I believe LINQPad does all the things you've included (except F#), plus you can define additional classes outside of your Main(), or execute  SQL statements against the DB of your choosing.    It also has a .Dump() extension method you can use on any object that displays the data in a clear graphical way.  And it's free.

  2. Yea, I have used LINQPad many times.  Its pretty nice but sometimes I want something super light weight that just does what I need and nothing else.  That is why I originally created this tool.  It is mainly for myself since it matches my needs.  I figured I would release it in case anyone else wanted it.

Thanks for the heads up though.
