The Newest Member Of The Canadian Developer Evangelism Team

The Canadian Developer Evangelism Team
continues to grow and I am very pleased to announce our newest addition. Please
help me in welcoming Jerome Carron
to Developer and Platform Evangelism! Jerome joins us from Microsoft
Consulting Services and I am very excited to be adding his expertise and
passion for technology to the team.

Jerome replaces the recently
“sales-transformed” Adam Gallant J
in the role of Senior Developer Evangelist
based in Toronto.
In this role, Jerome will be focused on working with the developer community in
Eastern Canada. He will be rounding out
the DE team of Dan Sellers and John Bristowe (both based in Calgary). An exciting benefit of having
Jerome on the team is that he is bilingual, so our friends in Quebec will be
seeing a lot more French content from us in FY06.

Jerome is a Microsoft Canada veteran having
joined 9 years ago as a System Engineer focusing on Windows DNA. He has
been working in MCS for the past 5 ½ years, most recently as the Bell
Enterprise Strategy Consultant. During his tenure with MCS his projects
included Grocerygateway.com, HBC.COM, and Future Shop. Recent projects
included the Web Cast for the SARS Rolling Stones concert, a Windows Media
implementation at Labatt and driving some very intriguing Sharepoint work at
Deloitte and Bell.

Jerome’s personal interests include
and motorcycles (coveting the Ducati 749s). You can see Jerome zipping
along the 401 on his bike on his way to Meadowvale. He also has a passion
for digital media – especially Windows Media Center Edition (a recent
“project” is remote controlling the Roku Digital Media Receiver
(https://www.rokulabs.com) and integrating it with the Windows Shell).
Jerome, his wife and daughters live in downtown Toronto.

Look for Jerome to be full time with us in
October and ready for the VS2005 launch tour!

Welcome to DPE Jerome!!!
