The problem with queuing blog posts

As a general word of warning to the world, it’s good to be careful about how far into the future you queue up blog posts if you’re in the habit of doing so.

For example, if you have a post that references something you think might be current events like, perhaps, the World Cup, you need to be careful to double-check that the event is actually taking place and you won’t have to wait four years until it becomes relevant.

Just a thought.

  1. Perhaps I'm a bit thick but I don't get it….the world cup _is_ still going on (Spain just beat Germany to go through to the finals…didn't they)

  2. Joseph, I'm originally from Argentina – we were on a winning streak when I wrote the post, but by the time it was published, we were already out (by a rather painful 4-0 result). My poor attempt at humor is to imply that this World Cup is just a thing of the past even though it's still running, and we're all just waiting for the next cup to begin 🙂

And you're right – Spain is going to the finals with Netherlands. I'll take the opportunity to wish both of them a good match, and may the best team win!
